Hi, Here goes a quick workaround to ensure Onionspray -- a reverse HTTPS onionsite proxy -- can keep checking backend certificates issued with Let's Encrypt new roots: https://forum.torproject.org/t/onionspray-work-around-for-validation-backen… Found this issue recently in some services, so I'm sharing here just in case someone else has the same problem. (This is not about HTTPS certificates for frontend onionsites, but checking the certificates of the backend onionsites being proxied/onionized) -- Silvio Rhatto pronouns he/him Festina lente -- move slow and fix things. Written without a LLM (Large Language "Model"). I sent this message during my active hours, which might be different from yours. Hidden service randomly becomes unreachable

I suddenly get 100s of this lines and HS becomes unreachable. This happens randomly every week. restarting the tor service fixes it. [warn] Giving up on launching a rendezvous circuit to [scrubbed] for hidden service [scrubbed]

Hi Miki, If your goal is to keep you existing site public and ADD a .onion URL I suggest looking at: https://onionservices.torproject.org/apps/web/onionspray/tutorial/ Tor acts as a proxy so you don't need a copy of the site it can be setup to route directly to an existing site. In the generic examples of a hidden service show tor proxying to a webserver running on the same system but you can also point it at external URLs. -Jon

hi I am new at Tor and wanted to know the following: - I have a site hosted on Godaddy. How can I make/get a tor onion v3 domain for my site? and how does it would work? would it be the site itself or a copy of the site? - how can I setup a .onion site with a custom domain (a copy of my site in this case) in the darkweb? will it work on linux only? would it be the domain only or the hosting too? - how do i host my own .onion site on the Tor network? do I need to make my own server somehow and somewhere? I noticed it takes Apache on linux, does this mean that the site would be hosted in a server INSIDE my own pc? definitely I am looking for a step-by-step explications on how make (duplicate a site or make a brand new one) a site domain and hosting on tor dark web. as I told I am new to tor and a bit confused, if you can let me know where I could find assistance and/or the know how thanks

Disabling "subdomains"

Hi, as one of my hidden service's subdomains is currently being dos-ed, I would like to know if there is any way to disable the tor daemon just passing through all requests. I could also tell my reverse proxy to send a HTTP 444, but this is a little inconvinient. Afaik, the subdomain functionality isn't official, but I thought it could maybe still be possible.
