I have been fighting hackers in Lubbock, TX for over a year. On my parents property sits an AT&T tower #. . All of our computers, wifi, media devices, cell phones, Bluetooth devices have been compromised. There have been attempts on my life because I have uncovered a large scale Stingray Operation taking place in Lubbock. Our phones somehow have the firmware overwritten and there are hidden root files and external storages we have not set up. Our residences and vehicles are getting raided when we leave them for a short period of time. Nothing is ever taken, but items are out of place and doors ajar that were previously closed or vice versa. Attempts to capture video footage is fruitless because even phones without Sim cards sync to Bluetooth and wifi and data is uploaded and downloaded at will, but never our will. Countless accounts have been blocked and information and photos forevet lost due to these malicious individuals. I highly suspect that on our property sits a device, Femtocell, that dupes anyones devices in the vicinity as to the cell site being legitimate. We have found cell phones not belonging to us hidden on shelves with charged batteries and active Sim cards, upon pulling out a Sim card our wifi suddenly crashes and our Direct TV blinks out. Calls are misdirected or dropped when attempting to notify authorities or seek a cessation of these hostilities against our family. Vehicles at all times of the night pull onto the property next to ours and if I try to approach they speed away. During the day vehicles stop on the road in front of our residence and business while engrossed on their phones, the suspicion of these acts are that they always transpire in a certain area or "zone" and Wiggle WiFi, AIMSCID, Ooni Probe and other applications show that we are being middled and it is affecting not only us but neighbors and even residents in a town called Slaton that is about twenty miles away. Recent phone discoveries show that this has been actively going on since 2014, and some Metadata I discovered in our pictures points to possibly 2009 or earlier. I am no hacker, nor a penetration tester, and my knowledge of firmwares, kernels, IMEIs, Metadata, Apps and Apks were non existent until a year ago I decided to look into why our wifi and cell coverage was so lousy. Since that time I have spent countless sleepless nights studying and observing, frustrated and alone piecing together the anamolies and gathering data as I went even if it made no sense to me, I knew it would to others. Two attempts were made to put a stop to my persistence and stubbornness. Both times officials have worked to keep attention away from obvious terroristic acts and attempted murder. I stand with a banner that shouts, "Anonimity and Freedom!" Currently I stand alone, beaten and tired but far from defeated. Hello excellent ooni people, I've written a blog post (https://snehankekre.github.io/anti-censorCHIP) about installing ooniprobe on a $9 computer called CHIP that runs a flavor of Debian. I would appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or comments. I'll use them to make necessary changes to reflect accurate delivery. I've used some images and a lot of lines from the ooni website. False positives how to correct?

Hi Talk & Operator lists, First of all apologies for cross posting, I would assume this better firsts the operators list; however that seems such a low volume list, I thought maybe talk would be better. When the ooniprobe app was released for IOS I decided to run it, but the manual triggering made my participation somewhat low. However despite no RPM's being available, I decided to add ooniprobe to my Tor relay as well. It was a little tricky getting it to work with the Tor running. But now I'm faced with some false positives on the reports and no clear way where to look or check for fixes as they are not actually blocked or filtered. For the Tor check itself I get: "Evidence of possible censorship / Tor version 0.2.9.10 appears to be blocked." But when I check the Tor "tcp connect" then it's about 50% hit / miss ratio. Even the normal "Web connectivity" fails for https://mail.yahoo.com but when I'm checking manually; > [root@tornode ~]# curl https://mail.yahoo.com > <!doctype html public "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> It seems just fine. Maybe it's all due to the fact I'm not running ooniprobe as root but as an unprivileged user. This kind of brings me to the next thing. Documentation, I have found the wiki, tickets on Tor's Trac and Issues on github, but it's not clear to me where to find more documentation. The installation guide on the ooni portal doesn't mention whether one should be running as root, or actually suggests not to. Please advice. Reports from UK are currently not being processed

Dear Oonitarians, Due to the large volume of reports coming in from the UK, we have as a temporary workaround stopped processing them through our pipeline since 2016-04-28. This is due to the fact that some OONI user in the UK instead of using the standard way of supplying a list of URLs to test (by means of an input file with the -f command line option). Instead they appear to have scripted ooniprobe to run one instance of ooniprobe per URL with (for x in URLS;do ooniprobe blocking/http_requests —url $x;done). In doing so we are receiving about 4k reports a day from the UK. If you are running ooniprobe in this way, could you please adjust your configuration to instead of running one instance of it per URL, use the -f option? This does not mean that the reports from the UK are not being collected, but it does mean that they will not show up on either the explorer or the measurements page until we implement a proper fix for handling such large number of reports. We apologise for the inconvenience and will be working towards having a better fix for this issue in the future. ~ Arturo

Greetings Oonitarians! Firstly thank you very much for the interest in OONI and for volunteering to be a probe operator. Your support means a lot to us and we would not be able to do this if it weren't for people like you running our software. I believe that to some of you I have given a raspberry pi in person, while others said they will run the software on hardware they will provide. For your raspberry pi folks we are currently finalizing the images and will soon give you instructions on how to either download the image and write it to your own SD card or information on how to have the sd card shipped to your home. We have also recently reached out to various legal teams that specialize in international law and have familiarity with the problem of network measurements to have feedback on what risks you may run into for running ooniprobe. If you are going to be running ooniprobe in a risky country (I would say any country that is not green on this map: https://freedomhouse.org/report/freedom-net/freedom-net-2014) you should wait from having some updated from us on that. I wrote down the countries where some of you will be running the probe, but I would like to have that confirmed. This is also useful so that we can give our lawyers a set of countries to focus on.
