Question about authority nodes

Dear All, First of all, I would like to say that TOR is great and you are doing a very important job globally. I would like to ask where I can find information on TOR directory nodes. Are there 9 of them? Apparently, each of them is controlled by a different organization. What are these organizations called? Regards Daniel Mider
