Hi all, Just a reminder that we will not meet on Wednesday the 18th in IRC as usual. Those of us who were at the meeting all need a few days to travel home and recover from a hectic schedule. We will resume our regular meetings on November 1! Community team meeting Wednesday at 1800 UTC

Hi all, Here's a reminder for our regular community team meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, October 4, at 1800 UTC. Please note that we will hold this meeting in #tor-meeting rather than our usual #tor-project. Our meetings will be in #tor-meeting from now on. We'll start with status updates as always, but please let me know if you have any other agenda items to discuss. The only other thing I'll want to check in about will be plans for the upcoming Montreal meeting (this is our last meeting before that meeting). See e.g. http://meetbot.debian.net/tor-dev/2017/ http://meetbot.debian.net/tor-project/2017/ So far we've had an ad hoc schedule and location for irc meetings, spread around both #tor-project and #tor-dev. After an incident with our meetbot where we accidentally left it logging #tor-dev all weekend, we've decided to take a more defensive approach: we will hold the meetbot-mediated sessions in a new channel, called #tor-meeting. So, if you want to use meetbot -- and feel free to do so -- you should move your meeting to #tor-meeting. It might be wise to tell the folks at the previous location that you're doing it elsewhere, so people can join and watch / participate if they want. One downside could be that the meetings won't have as many random bystanders watching them, so maybe fewer people will get pulled in. But we can resolve that, maybe even more successfully, with better report-backs. Hi everyone, As I have been discussing recently, we are conducting a Tor talk/digital security workshop for journalists in India in association with the Software Freedom Law Center in New Delhi. The SFLC shared the list of things they would like to be covered so I am sharing with the community to get your feedback. (This version is modified from their original version with my changes.) Team day in Montreal

Hi everyone, First, a reminder that at the Montreal meeting, the "team meetings" day will be on Wednesday October 11th -- so make sure to arrive in Montreal on the 10th. I'm now scheduling for that day, and we'll of course have a community team meeting, but please let me know about any other meetings you need to have scheduled between and among teams. For example, we should probably have a "support" meeting with members of community and applications. Let me know if here are others. Thanks!
