Memory leak in 0.3.4.8?

Hi I've noticed following after upgrading to latest stable version (0.3.4.8): Memory usage [image: image.png] Connection count [image: image.png] Cpu usage [image: image.png] You'll notice the upgrade happened around Saturday midnight. Known issue? Any work-around? Thanks Sebastian

Hi Upgraded 5 days ago, and indeed noticing a steady increase in Tor memory usage, but nothing as strong as yours... With connection count around 8k as always -- Fred

please add any further information directly to the relevant trac issue at https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/27813 -- https://twitter.com/nusenu_ https://mastodon.social/@nusenu

It has been reported in the Trac ticket that the problem might be related to bandwidth limiting. And indeed, of five relays that I run, only one turned out to be affected by it, and it is the one which had RelayBandwidthRate set. Heads up to remove your limits (possibly replace with Accounting*) if you want to stay on 3.4.8 and workaround the issue while it's being fixed. -- With respect, Roman

The bug should be fixed in the new 0.3.5.3-alpha release today. Assuming it looks better, we'll put out an updated 0.3.4.x that fixes it too. Thanks for helping tracking it down everybody! https://bugs.torproject.org/28089 --Roger
