It's my first time entering an IRC channel and after having read the documentation for ChatZilla, I'm still unable to find my way. These are the steps I've been following: 1) Open ChatZilla extension on Firefox. 2) Click on IRC -> Join Channel. 3) The two fields that appear are - Network and Channel. From this point on, I have no idea as to how to proceed.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to talk about tor development, use #tor-dev, not #tor. (If you want to talk about using tor, use #tor.)
We use irc.oftc.net, for instructions, see: https://www.torproject.org/about/contact.html.en#irc https://www.oftc.net/
You might need to register your nickname to access some channels, this is a spam mitigation measure.

I originally wanted to enter #tor-dev, but thought that beginning with #tor might be a better idea. Any way, yes, I do want to join #tor-dev and have already set up my nickname and other basic pre-requisites ChatZilla asks us for fulfilment. Am going to try another chat agent (HexChat) today to see if that works.
