OneProvider using now Scaleway AS
Hi everyone, Until now, I’ve been managing three exit nodes with OneProvider (WIIT), which is generally considered Tor-friendly. But apparently, they’re now working with ScaleWay, and my fourth server in the Netherlands—which I’d just set up—was suspended in less than 24 hours, and I have to pay $100 to the UCPROTECT mafia... I just wanted to let you know that they’re now using AS12876 (Scaleway SAS), which is already well known... As for me, I’m switching to maxko-hosting -- Alain alias DeuZa alias 0x2A

Why do you need to pay for being unlisted on uceprotect? This is a service for dnsbl for blocking spammer IP addresses. If you system is listed in level 1, it sent mail to the spamtraps or did other attacks (e.g. auth) on their systems. Rather common for a tor exit that allows port 25. Although, why do you operate your mail server on this TOR exit? -- Gruß Marco Junk-Mail bitte an trashcan@stinkedores.dorfdsl.de

Level 1 - your IP sent mail (1st May) to their spamtraps and now you are listed. Works as intended, as other people do not want to receive mail from such systems. Now investigate how that happened and fix it.
It costs money, and I don't like it ;) Your IP will be removed for free after 1 week if no spam reaches their spamtrap.

Oneprovider is a reseller and has been reselling Scaleway products for years. It has been known for years that starting with the rebranding of Online SAS to Scaleway, that quality and standards have been in constant degradation. It is therefore no surprise that they have suspended your service at the first opportunity. See feedback for Scaleway: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/scaleway.com Their reputation is now so bad that it is hard to think it is not on purpose. Most likely they would like to redefine who they do business with and get rid of certain types of customers.
I had been with OneProvider for years, right after my server was suspended by Scaleway... (back during the NTP amplification incident) I'm running away to MaxKo's ;) Le mardi 5 mai 2026 à 15:25, Mzungu via tor-relays <tor-relays@lists.torproject.org> a écrit :
