The documentation for the Socket class says, "Data written by the write methods is not immediately transmitted; it is queued until the flush() method is called." I'm also fixing a couple important bugs along the way: - Race condition between arm and tor starting its control port, so half the time a managed tor instance reported that it couldn't connect to the control port.
