Hi all, We need to add translations for the following languages to tor-download-web <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web>: Simplified Chinese <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/53> Vietnamese <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/52> Russian <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/51> Portuguese <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/50> Dutch <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/48> Italian <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/47> French <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/46> Persian <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/45> German <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/43> Arabic <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/issues/42> To submit a translation, just add the appropriate text to translations.js <https://github.com/wpapper/tor-download-web/blob/master/js/translations.js> and submit a pull request. If you are not comfortable with git, then you can comment with translations on the corresponding issue or reply directly to this email. Even if your language is already translated and everything is correct, then please comment and let us know that the translation is fine. More eyes are always better. Thank you for your help! Sincerely, Will Papper

Tor is using Transifex as its translation platform. You will unfortunately not reach the current set of translators with this email. Transifex supports strings stored in JSON format, that might be the easier, see: http://docs.transifex.com/developer/formats/json Once you have a working master file, get in touch with Colin (Phoul in IRC) in order to get it added to the set of Tor resources. Translated files will become available in a branch of the `translation` Git repository on git.torproject.org. Updates to the master file will be fetched automatically through Git. -- Lunar <lunar@torproject.org>

Thank you, Lunar. I'll setup Transifex. On Thu, Jun 12, 2014 at 2:31 AM, Lunar <lunar@torproject.org> wrote:

Thanks for volunteering, Chap. You can edit the file directly on GitHub. Just go to the repo, press "Fork", and navigate to js/translations.js in your copy of the repo. If your username on GitHub were "chap", the URL would be https://github.com/chap/tor-download-web/blob/master/js/translations.js. After that, you can press "Edit", make your changes, and press "Commit". If you know how to submit a pull request you can do that, or you can let us know when you're done and we can pull the changes in for you. On Thu, Jun 12, 2014 at 3:08 PM, chap <chap@anche.no> wrote:

I forked the repo and added translations for italian, then committed. I don't know how to submit a pull request, let me know if there's something else I can do. On 06/13/2014 06:45 AM, William Papper wrote:
