Blocking bittorrent

Hi, How do you block bittorrent nowadays? I read this page: https://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/wikis/BlockingBittorrent but http://www.trackon.org/api/all doesn't work anymore because the domain is expired. Do you know any alternatives? Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com) Secure Email.

I never got any Bittorrent abuse with only 80 and 443 open.

I think that allowing only 80 and 443 is too restrictive exit policy. Users may need private access to services other than http and https on standard ports. On the Gitlab side it is clear: "DO NOT ACTUALLY USE THIS. IT HURTS THE TOR NETWORK. Use the Reduced Exit Policy instead" And (torserver.net founder) Moritz explained everything in the linked mail thread. Generally: Do not filter outbound traffic on a Tor server. -- ╰_╯ Ciao Marco! Debian GNU/Linux It's free software and it gives you freedom!

Can you suggest me one? Or it isn't allowed to advertise hostings here? Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com) Secure Email. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ On Monday, January 18, 2021 6:42 PM, niftybunny <abuse-contact@to-surf-and-protect.net> wrote:

Not blocking torrenting at all would be nice. Free and open exchange of information is a vital part of the internet or it should be. Who are we to censor the web ? I will not. Somewhat the whole point of tor.

I received a lot of DMCA abuses and responded to all of them using this template: https://2019.www.torproject.org/eff/tor-dmca-response But it seems that OVH doesn't care and I didn't receive any responses from them. Yesterday they promised to block me if I continue to get abuses. So I have no other choice. I switched my node to Reduced Exit Policy and I hope that it will save me.
