Hi all,

Several projects use Tor hidden services for peer-to-peer communication, including TorChat, TORFone, Ricochet, Ploggy, OnionShare, Invisible.im, Ciboulette and Briar. I suspect many of us are running into similar issues because the hidden service protocol and implementation were designed for hidden services that behave like servers rather than clients, i.e. that have long uptime and stable network connections.
