 well, this is done in the appropriate config file:

 tor-relay ~ # cat /etc/conf.d/tor
 #
 # Set the file limit
 rc_ulimit="-n 30000"
 }}}

 I changed it to 60000 - but same situation,a s soon as the # of
 conenctions and/or bandwith rises up, I do get the errors.
