 For what it's worth, I had reported this issue on a default Ubuntu 13.10
 (using Unity) setup, and they immediately

 Ubuntu Bug #1272032
 Title: Tor Browser Bundle on Ubuntu 13.10 is useless until/unless one
 manually kills the ibus process

 And, they immediately invalidated it, saying I should report it to you.
 That's when I found this existing bug report; so, I'm simply following
