Hi,
I just started up another relay, and atlas' GeoIP data on it is incorrect (says it is in Netherlands when it is in fact in Lithuania).
Where does Atlas get its GeoIP data from? Can this be corrected? It's not a huge issue but it would be nice for the correct country to be displayed.

Hi Fred,

Atlas is a JavaScript application that gets all the data from Onionoo [1] backend. And Onionoo in its turn gets [2] data from MaxMind's GeoIP database [3]. Thus it's as reliable as MaxMind GeoIP is reliable. Agree, it's not godd. Current status of this (or closely related) issue you can track at #19437 [4].

Atlas displays onionoo.torproject.org data. Onionoo uses Maxmind for GeoIP data.
It should not bother you to much if atlas displays an incorrect country, eventually it might be fixed with a Maxmind update.
There is also a ticket to replace Maxmind as a data source: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/19437
