What actually controls the tor relay? TORRC or nyx? I realize NYX is a 'monitor'. However nyx allows for command line changes; i.e bandwidth/ports etc. thanks

The torrc. Then if you connect to the relay's ControlPort/ControlSocket, you can change most options even while the relay is running. These changes are NOT SAVED to the torrc. That's what nyx does. Matt
