Hey all,
I have a server in a server farm on a 100mbit symmetrical line... I was looking at relakks.com as a VPN service. Anyone has any experience with these guys? Someone I know use it but only gets up to 2mbit on this line... Anyone has different experiences?
I run a relay at home, but wanted to contribute with an exit node on the server as it has a big connection which does not get all fully used at the moment...
Thanks, Jon
Looking at their FAQ, they look pretty third rate. Only PPTP, no SMTP, no reverse DNS, only one node...you get what you pay for, and the guys don't look like much. I work for a VPN provider, and while I won't say which one, I can tell you with authority that you can do a lot, lot better than these guys.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the answer. Would you still mention your VPN company so I can check it out?
In any way, does anyone know more about average speed through Relakks?
Thanks Jon

Hi Jon,
I can't sadly. It would be too much like trolling for business, and I don't get any commissions anyway :) I'd rather my presence on this list be a purely technical one, and also just one of the gang.
I'm happy to point you in the right direction however:

Hey Matt,
from a little reading ipredator seems to have many issues on low speed, unreliable speeds and bad tech support... And Relakks seems to be on the same lines as the others... Thanks for your help...
I will start a new thread to ask around the list for experience with having an exit node with Hetzener (and yes I saw some articles online already, but wanted to check if there is more :-)
Thanks =)
Jonathan
