Yes, about 25% of all Tor nodes worldwide are in the US; Germany is in 2nd place with 17%.
Don't look at relay counts (much). Bandwidth is where it's at: https://compass.torproject.org/?family=&ases=&country=&exits=all_relays&by_c... (That said, the 1st and 2nd place remain the same in this case.) --Roger
