Hello Markus, I know that maybe it's too late to answer, and I don't even know if the answer is right but, Freenode has some hidden servers don't you know? Take a look at https://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml, there are 4 addresses to connect to freenode through Tor Onion network. I don't know if I'm right, but I actually want to use freenode even with a tor relay running on my router, let's try to do that helping each other... Sorry about my poor english... Best regards, UserX
