Are not updating, though I had configured them to be updated by unattended upgrades they are stuck on tor 4.3.5.
When running
sudo apt update && sudo apt install -y --only-upgrade tor

It says ip address not found, I wonder why this is as I had imported tors keyring before hand.
You seem to be running a Debian buster machine, but you are mixing distributions, since you have included a repository from torproject to be used on Ubuntu trusty.
You can just use tor package from debian (without extra repos). But if you still want to use the external torproject repo, follow these instructions:
