Hi,

Thanks so much for a big push for translation! I am only the localization coordinator, so I will refer other questions to French translators, but I can answer a couple of things:

One glossary entry looks wrong to me: "Tor VPN" -> « RPV Tor VPN ». RPV means VPN, so this reads "VPN Tor VPN". I kept « Tor VPN » everywhere, matching the existing strings, and did not change the glossary.

I will change the glossary about this, thanks!

Conventions applied throughout, for consistency: « Navigateur Tor », « pont » for bridge,

As we have had some difficulty to take decisions in the language teams, we have a process to decide how to translate terms. You can see the current proposals for French at https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/community/l10n/-/wikis/Translation-accords... Maybe you want to participate on this one that needs help: - how to translate “directory authorities” https://forum.torproject.org/t/proposal-french-find-a-better-translation-for... Regarding bridge vs. pont, previous French translators debated this issue and decided to use bridge instead of the translation, to separate it from real-life bridges. The discussion is at https://forum.torproject.org/t/accepted-proposal-french-do-not-translate-the... For the terms that were not on the glossary, you can always add them. In the Tor Project we have several layers of terminology (like an onion!) and it is good to add those to the glossary to allow for better consistency when translating. If you are not sure they are important, you can add them only for French. Without evaluating the French translation, as that should be done by French speakers, this list sounds pertinent for our glossary: - first-party isolation -> « isolation par domaine d'origine » - linkability -> « recoupement » - side channels -> « canaux auxiliaires » - dropped cells -> « cellules abandonnées » - bandwidth inflation attack -> « attaque par gonflement de bande passante » - Network Health team -> « équipe Santé du réseau » - bad relay -> « relais malveillant »
