Because when I added it, it was part of the ADD_ONION code, and I was too lazy to make it cover the other stuff.

Beyond the usual concerns of "the control port allows access to too much, and has no concept of isolation or ACLs, and this would be a step towards the worse", not really. Regards, -- Yawning Angel
