Hello all, I'm Ishika Kumar, a final year student of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, India. In this world of surveillance, I really admire the Tor Project team and the host of contributors who are trying to provide private access to an uncensored web. I wish to contribute and become a part of this awesome community since it's my first time with Tor Project and I sincerely hope that my future work will go a long way in helping the Tor idealogy in some way. Hi everyone! My name is Shreya. I'm a graphic designer from Indore, India. I've been learning UX and some front-end development on my own and now I'm looking for an internship to get real-world knowledge. When I found out Tor is offering an internship, I was really excited because I personally love Tor browser and support its cause. I've looked at the project details on the Outreachy website and I'm still trying to get used to the IRC environment. I've noticed that all the first-contribution labeled issues are taken. I've already requested to be assigned a community issue. If you have any other contribution recommendations for me please let me know. Hello everyone! My name is Anushka Jain. I'm from India. My initial application for Outreachy has been accepted, and I'm excited to work with the Tor project. Currently, I'm a sophomore at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. I'm a self-taught UI/UX designer. I'm new to open source and recently got to know about Outreachy via a friend who was a 2020 Outreachy intern in design. I'm interested in contributing to Tor because I support its core cause - the human right to privacy. As there is just one internship listed on the outreach website, I wanted to know the scope of User research and experience in this internship, as I love solving problems with the help of design. Outreachy contribution period (May - August 2021)

Hey Tor Community Team! I am Swastika, many of you might already know about me as I have introduced myself on the UX team list too and the routinely design meet, I'm an outreachy aspirant, UX designer, deeply interested in HCI. Currently, I'm a Chemical engineering sophomore at IIT Roorkee but my interests are in Design. I started my design journey as a graphic designer then learnt about UI and UX parts of design and finally found my interest. I will be contributing to open source for the first time. Unfortunately, my outreachy website has some bugs, it has not been updated yet. It is still showing me to fill the initial application, but I got my initial application confirmation mail confirming my contribution period. Hence I am unable to access the details of the project from the site. I have sent my issue to the organizers, but have not received anything from them yet. This might delay my contribution and create a huge loss. Could you please let me know the links and where to start on the project? Hello, We're updating our Tor training materials section, and we know that our community has developed many materials explaining how Tor works, how to install it, how to circumvent censorship, and many great things about Tor. Do you know of or have any Tor training materials (slides, guides, zine, videos) that should be part of our training section on the Community Portal[1]? It does not get displayed correctly in my OS (Windows 10) while other Mozilla or Chrome-based browsers display correctly. Tor seems to always display itself as a container within a container. If I try to resize the browser, the browser sides continuously change size, sometimes they shrink while other times they grow. I recently completed the coursework for a BEng in Computer Software Engineering and will like to get in to open source not just to boost my career and gain experience but also to contribute to free and open-source projects. since my initial application for outreachy was approved I looked through current Outreachy projects and the Tor Project #2 ( Help Tor Project support our users <https://www.outreachy.org/outreachy-december-2020-internship-round/communit…>) from this organization really seemed interesting to me because I have been using the tor browser for a while and I really like the product and helping people around the internet is fascinating and awesome for me. so I would like to contribute to that effect.
