Hello there!

We (the www-team) are looking for help on getting mocks done for our
main site redesign project!

A redesign proposal can be found in the wiki:
https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/Website/MainSiteRedesign

So here is the deal, we are asking for designers to build mocks of how
they would organize those elements we put together in the proposal. The
photos of the drawings in the wiki were just for brainstorming purpose,
yourdesign does not need to follow that. What we want is to get a
better idea of how we can make our website more userfriendly and
streamlined.

We are asking though, that you do read the proposal to understand the
main information we want to have in the page.

As you can see, we do plan on simplifying things a lot and that means
content will be moved out and put somewhere else. You don't need to
worry about this part, all you need to focus right now to help us out is
how to present the main information we defined on that proposal.

If you're now wondering how we'll decide which mock to go with for our
final design after asking a bunch of people:

Good question! We have a process in mind that includescollaboration with
researchers and UX expertsto help us to buildthe new site, it all
depends on how many options we have. If we have a lot we might want to
select a few to test first. But we do want to test a few options with
real people to help us make the best decision.

So! If you want to help there a few ways you can reach out to us:

    1. you can add your contribution as comments to this ticket:
https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/18245
    2. you can always talk with the www-team by emailing our list:
www-team at lists.torproject.org
    3. you can also join our website redesign meetings on Fridays at
2000UTC #tor-project irc channel

Please reach out if you have questions!

Thanks,
Isabela
