I am actually a big fan of the Tor logo on Jacobs business card:

I have no idea where it comes from, but I think that one would both
stay close to the original logo and be a lot more sleek / stylized and
abstract.

I'm not saying that we should use exactly this logo, but I just wanted
to throw it out there to show that you can be both traditional AND
sleek at the same time.
