[tor-talk] TBB not caching ahead on Youtube

Using TBB 3.6.5 in Vista x64. Also have Fx 32.0.2 on same machine.

In regular Fx, a vid like J. Timberlake -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsNav3QgOzo will cache WAY ahead of play.
In TBB, caching many videos barely keeps up, so videos often stutter.
Both TBB & Firefox are playing in HTML5.

There are default about:config cache differences in TBB & Firefox (no
surprise).
I have lots of free RAM, fast processor & plenty fast connection.

In Firefox, I usually disable disk cache completely & allow a fair amt
of memory cache - due to speed difference. It seems to work well.
I'm not so sure that the buffer lagging in TBB has to do w/ disk cache -
as it should be plenty fast to play a vid on this machine w/ as much
*free* RAM & CPU resources as I have.

As for Network buffer prefs, they seem to be the same default values in
TBB & Firefox. Firefox has 2 more "buffer" prefs than TBB.
Also streamed the same vid in SMPlayer w/ no lagging, but it's not using
Tor relays.

Changing circuits (that showed high capacities) made no difference in
video lagging.

Anyway, in TBB - BOTH disk cache & memory cache are enabled.
But TBB has no *"browser.cache.memory.capacity"* value, as Firefox
has. I could add it, if necessary.

I temporarily disabled disk cache in *TBB* - no change in video buffer
lagging, but then notice in about:cache, there is NO memory cache in use
while a vid plays (& stutters). The TBB memory cache size (allowed)
shown under about:cache = 32,768 KiB. I have more memory cache than
that allotted in Firefox, but the fact that TBB shows no memory cache in
use - even when disk cache is DISabled, is odd.

I don't think the following has anything to do with this, but to stop
*TBB from crashing* repeatedly & showing "Fault Module Name:
d2d1.dll," I had to disable both:
gfx.direct2d.disabled = true
layers.acceleration.disabled = true
as mentioned in several places, like
https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-talk/2013-June/028564.html

Those 2 prefs are NOT disabled in Firefox.
I can post the disk / memory cache & buffer prefs - for TBB & Firefox,
if someone wants to check them.

Any suggestions what to check?
