What does “Dark Web” mean at all? It is usually defined as “web content
that doesn't get indexed by search engines” but as soon as this
definition is estabilished it gets silently dismissed, and Dark Web is
then used to label .onion servers exclusively. Isn't (a good deal of)
Facebook also unindexed? AOL Network? Other walled gardens and private
zones?

The next step is of course “Dark Web” = “web of drug dealers,
pedophiles and murderers”. While the initial point was merely “stuff
you can't Google”.

It almost feels like somebody deliberately attempts to create a
confusion.
