Starting Vidalia now

Launching Vidalia from: /usr/local/torbrowser

Vidalia exited with the following return code: 1

A dialogue window appeared, stating insufficient permissions to open
'vidalia-debug-log'.

Has anyone been able to start torbrowser in a GNU/Linux environment
configuration as so:

Archive unpacked into /usr/local/

Symbolic link created 'ln -s /usr/local/torbrowser/start-tor-browser
/usr/local/bin/torbrowser
