That means that you Wii is talking to Tor, while it should talk to polipo.

Apart from the suggestion not to use any other browsers than Tor Browser
due to browser fingerprinting and tracking...

Yes, it should be possible.

Polipo has to listen on your local lan on some Windows or Linux machine.
It must not only listen on 127.0.0.1, but also on the internal LAN IP.
Do not let it listen on WAN. Polipo should then forward the traffic to Tor.

The other device has to be configured to use the http/https proxy IP and
port provided by polipo.

Alternatively a transparent proxy would work as well.

But as said above, "does work" and "is anonymous" is still a difference.
