Perhaps a better explanation is this Tor-Java list is for those wishing
to rewrite Tor in Java. OnionCoffee was a proof of concept one could do
it. The current release of OnionCoffee has many bugs and is out of date
with respect to the current Tor specs.

Once Tor is reimplemented in Java, the theory is that it becomes easier
to port to more operating systems and environments, like phones.
