Earthlink's broken DNS affecting Tor nodes?

Here I had to add the following line into the file /etc/dhclient.conf :
prepend domain-name-servers 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220;

after that my /etc/resolv.conf looks like this, starting my network:
search home
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.220.220
nameserver "my-router's-ip"
