Presumably you are referring to 0.1.1.12-alpha and 0.1.1.14-alpha.

There is no known way in which 0.1.1.12-alpha is superior to
0.1.1.14-alpha.  You should choose 0.1.1.14-alpha unless you want to use
the stable version, in which case you should choose 0.1.0.17.  Note that
a release candidate for the 0.1.1.x series should be arriving shortly.
