UTC & increased anonymity for client/node & user

Hello,

Can Tor function properly as a client and/or node if I
set my system's time to UTC?

UTC has the advantage of not giving away geographical
location. Another advantage could be more universal
time standard for client/node; thus reducing partition
attacks via. time-zone/geographical location.

Some programs for protocols like some IM's (e.g. IRC)
will respond to a "CTCP Time" request. If the system
time is set to UTC a CTCP Time request gives
non-usefull data to an adversary.

While a node does not have to worry about giving away
it's location a client does.

Opinions please?

Thank you
