Have a look at http://wiki.noreply.org/noreply/TheOnionRouter/SquidProxy
for a few good pointers.
I haven't used DansGuardian but one possible setup is 

Client(s) -[ openvpn ]- Gateway
                        |
			--[ Squid - Privoxy - Tor]- Internet
