Hello,

here is the November 2016 report for SponsorR:

- The prop224 HSDir branch got merged to upstream tor! This is a big
part of prop224 and we are very excited about this!!!
   https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/17238

- The prop224 ESTABLISH_INTRO code also got some more review and
  revisions: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/19043
We are not too far from merging this.

- The first draft of the prop224 INTRODUCE1 was published and initial an
review was performed! This is the final piece of the relay-side of
  prop224!

- We also moved forward in figuring out how client autorization is gonna
  look like in prop224:
       https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-dev/2016-November/011617.html

And an alternative client auth protocol was suggested by Nick which
swaps symmetric keys for public key cryptography:
       https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-dev/2016-November/011632.html

- We also discussed how prop224 deployment should happen with regards to
the tor configuration options. How these should look like and how the
user experience should be. The discussion is still open and we hope to
  come to results on December:
       https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-dev/2016-November/011661.html

- We are also planning to revive Tor proposal reading groups which have
been helpful in evaluating and planning the development of technical
  proposals: https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-dev/2016-November/011703.html
