The Tor Network Tools team [1] made the following progress on
services, applications, and libraries related to the status, analysis,
and monitoring of the Tor network:

Atlas
- -----

Philipp fixed ticket #13921 for Atlas [XXX]. Atlas no longer shows
bridge pool assignments since Onionoo no longer provides that data.
Instead, Atlas now shows which transport protocols are supported by
bridges.

 [XXX] https://bugs.torproject.org/13921

Karsten and s7r started writing better documentation for deploying Atlas.

Bad relay detection
- -------------------

Philipp refactored the "reporting bad relays" wiki page [XXX]. He
hopes that this gives people a better idea of what the list is about
and leads to better reports.

 [XXX]

Donncha wrote a modified tor version and a Python script to detect
hidden-service directories that crawl hidden services. He found two
such relays operated by the same person who stopped crawling upon request.

Check
- -----

Arlo continued maintaining check [XXX].

Compass
- -------

Karsten set up a Compass mirror on thecthulhu.com [XXX].

Depictor
- --------

Tom successfully deployed his DocTor rewrite called Depictor [XXX]

 [XXX] https://consensus-health.torproject.org/.

metrics-lib
- -----------

Karsten started extending metrics-lib towards supporting CollecTor.

Navigator
- ---------

Oliver continued to work on Navigator [XXX] and integrated some early
feedback from Karsten. Navigator will allow to search for bridges and
relays in the network and display bandwidth graphs for either, more
graphs are on the agenda. It currently also lists the Top 10 relays
by consensus weight.

Onionoo
- -------

Karsten implemented and deployed #12651 [XXX]: Details documents of
non-running
nodes may contain "running":true".

 [XXX] https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/12651

Karsten implemented and deployed #11052 [XXX]: Add list of transports
supported
by a bridge to Onionoo's details documents.

 [XXX] https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/11052

Karsten fixed various problems on the two Onionoo instances caused by
invalid details status files, expiring VMs, and failures to download
descriptors.

Stem
- ----

Damian released version 1.3 of Stem [XXX].

tor
- ---

Karsten researched possible side effects of extending the bandwidth
history interval from 15 minutes to 4 hours [XXX].

 [XXX] https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/13988

zoossh
- ------

Philipp released zoossh [XXX] which is a parsing library implemented
in Go for various Tor data formats. It's a very early release and its
API is not yet stable. As a result, don't use it for any projects
yet. Philipp will soon use zoossh as part of his Sybil detector for
the Tor network.
