# Top 5 things I did in January

  * Started publishing the first batch of ooniprobe reports that follow the 0.1
    reporting format: https://ooni.torproject.org/reports/0.1/

  * Worked on a TaskManager for ooniprobe that allows us to set a timeout on
measurements and reschedule tests that are failing:
    https://github.com/TheTorProject/ooni-probe/pull/34

  * Met with the people from M-Lab and Georgia tech to discuss next steps in
    ooniprobe development.

  * Assisted some users of ooniprobe in getting them to run it and collect
    reports.

  * Worked with some users in UZ and TZ to test some filtering bypassing
strategies and implemented them as experimental ooniprobe tests:
    https://github.com/hellais/ooni-probe/commit/0313355b320bee389c8b4dfbfaf0a70c47b11dbf

# Top 5 things I plan to do in February

  * Work on debugging #8123

  * Finish speccing out the currently implemented ooniprobe tests
    (https://github.com/TheTorProject/ooni-spec)

  * Consolidate the reporting format of the various ooniprobe tests with the
goal of having the least amount of key nesting as possible.

  * Add support for exposing the oonib collector also over SSL and pin the SSL
certificates of the ooniprobe backend colllector in the client
    (ooniprobe).

  * Make the running of Tor a soft dependency and come up with an acceptable
strategy for determining the probes IP address.

I really like the 5 things done, 5 next steps format.

~ Art.
