# Top 5 goals for September
(from the August 2012 report
https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-reports/2012-September/000046.html)

## 1. Write blog post about fake tor software.

Failed to do this due to travel and lack of time to collect the growing
number of scammers and other people attempting to abuse the Tor name
for their own gain.

## 2. Hire a project coordinator. See
 https://www.torproject.org/about/jobs-projectcoordinator.html.en

Interviewed three candidates. Passed off second interviews to the team.

## 3. Present Tor to Interpol.

Done. My speech with notes is here:
https://svn.torproject.org/svn/projects/presentations/2012-09-04-Interpol-Keynote.odp
and the general presentation is here:
https://svn.torproject.org/svn/projects/presentations/2012-09-04-Interpol-Keynote.pdf

## 4. Finish up 2012 budget and prepare for Board approval.

Done. Attempting to schedule a board meeting is the usual logistical
challenge.

## 5. Kick off Knight Foundation project now that contracts are
executed.

Project kicked off, tickets created, people assigned. Need a follow-up
for deadlines, milestones, and agreement to all of this.

# Top 5 goals for October 2012:

1. Write blog post about fake tor software. Start using our trademark
to keep the world straight on what is Tor and what is not Tor.

2. Finalize 2011 audit and publish all related forms (PC, 990, DCF) at
https://torproject.org/about/financials.html.en

3. Kick off expanded BBG project. Finalize legal terms around funding
exit relays. Start paying exit relay operators.

4. Actually hire a project coordinator
(https://torproject.org/about/jobs-projectcoordinator.html.en).

5. Educate organizations working on stopping human trafficking and
sexual abuse to better understand the role of technology, tor, and how
we can help.
