Regarding to https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/core/tor/-/issues/40958 I
do wonder if that issue happened for stable Tor versions too - I do run
myself git HEAD only.

FWIW at my bare metal relay the RAM consumption per Tor process
decreased by about 0.7 GiB.
