I spoke to one of them. He wanted to have a look at the source code and
maybe improve it. If he wants he can reveal his identity. ;)

As far as I remember it ws Roger who warned that several people tried to
improve/maintain weather and no one kept the maintainership for a longer
period. So we need someone who takes the code and maintains it.
