I'm currently writing a rather large patch extending Tor (the onion
router itself, written in C) to work with multiple addresses per
address family, see ticket #9729. [1]

It would be good to have unit tests for the new/modified routines, but
I haven't yet looked much at Tor's unit testing infrastructure. Maybe
this is something you could also take a look at.
