 reset the /etc/hosts and interfaces files with the followign commands:

 the box was added to reverse DNS, LDAP, nagios, and puppet. it has not
 been rebooted because it's sunny outside, but that's the next step in teh
 new-machine procedure, which is otherwise complete.

 next step is the ganeti bootstrap.
