 So for this issue and #33457, the add on would recognise the error page,
 force a new circuit and navigate to the correct URL.

 More generally, it would follow the pattern of: Identify error/problem ->
 Apply fix (new circuit, DOM change, etc).

 Looking at recent tickets for
 [https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/query?status=!closed&keywords
 =~tbb-usability-website&desc=1&order=id tbb-usability-website] suggests
 there are plenty of possible use cases.
