 With the upgrade to TBB 9.0 (based on Mozilla Firefox 68.2.0esr) (64-bit)
 this issue is resolved!

 SEEMS (how odd ...) it is NOT "related to the 64bit Windows", but rather
 to the previous win64 Firefox version used within TBB 8.5-8.5.5;
 60.7.0esr-60.9.0esr (bug).
