Comment:

 Given what we have, I'm also not sure what to make of this.  Given that it
 only appears to have happened once, and only on MIPS, I don't know how to
 reproduce it, and I'm not really sure what could have caused it.  I'm
 going to close this as worksforme, but let's reopen if it happens again,
 especially if it happens reproducibly.
