 Someone on the ticket is mentioning that:
 > The latest version that worked was using
 com.android.tools.build:gradle:3.0.1, buildToolsVersion '26.0.2' and
 aaptOptions { cruncherEnabled = false }

 We were using 3.0.1 in esr60, so this is probably why we didn't get the
 issue previously.
