Comment:

 For what it is worth, we disabled extension installing from the web
 because we needed to make sure no *unsigned* Torbutton extension can be
 installed in Tor Browser for Android. The one we ship is not signed by
 Mozilla, but it should be the only Torbutton to get on your phone. The
 quickest workaround we could find was to disable extensions installed from
 the web. See: #27271. The second patch has probably the preferences you
 are looking for. #27762 is the ticket for providing a better fix for this
 problem.

 I'll mark this ticket as a duplicate of #27762 I guess.
