 Ok this seems like a similar problem. Thanks a lot for your kind help. But
 how can I be sure this error is caused by Avira? The main Moderator on
 that thread says it can be related to other software's:

 Sometimes you have to investigate and troubleshoot starting with the most
 simple....such as rebooting the computer after uninstall, running SFC,
 running anti-malware scans, performing a system restore, etc.

 I can follow all these instructions but it does not seem right. This error
 comes up ONLY on this latest version of TOR and ONLY on certain websites.
 How can i be sure it is related to avira before going on a 10 hour
 process?
