 more interesting to me. It means that Tor thinks the tcp connection to its
 control port got closed.

 How many different causes for this behavior have been previously
 identified?

 > Is there some way that Windows is closing that localhost tcp connection
 when it returns from hibernation? Maybe some internal kernel thing timed
 out?

 Has that happened before with other Tor users? How is it usually resolved?
