Comment (by irl):

 Compass is now redirecting all requests to Relay Search and so is now only
 a search form with all search functionality disabled. From the 15th it
 should be safe to shut down the web server and remove the subdomain name
 (and any other things that get done when we shut things down).

 When we shut down Globe, the ticket was: #20869. I guess we can use this
 as a template.
