 I am wary about adding code to Tor Launcher that will kill processes that
 it does not own. The tor.real process should exit if the control port
 connection disappears or if the firefox process exits (Tor Launcher passes
 `__OwningControllerProcess` to tor and it issues a `TAKEOWNERSHIP` control
 port command).

 In this case, I assume this did not happen because the original reporter
 did this: '''i force ejected the disk image of tor while i had the
 application open.''' I am not sure what Bad Things happen if you do that,
 but I can imagine macOS does not handle everything cleanly. Usually macOS
 prevents you from ejecting a disk image that has files on it that are in
 use, so the user may have done a "Force Eject" even after receiving a
 warning. This seems like a rare scenario to me, so my preference would be
 to resolve this ticket as "Won't fix."
